Common questions
Why do I have to create my account in the app?
Your identity is created on your device first — before any account exists. Creating your account in the app links your device-generated identity to the portal, rather than the other way around. This means your identity is always yours, not ours.
Do I need an account to use Ndevar?
No. Offline messaging via Bluetooth, online messaging via relay, and end-to-end encryption work without any account. An account is required for cloud backup, remote wipe, and broadcast features.
What's included with a free account?
A free account gives you portal access, device registration, internet relay, and free broadcast (1 channel, 50 subscribers). No payment required.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel through the App Store subscription settings. Cancellation takes place immediately and your account is removed.
What happens to my backup if I cancel Protect?
Your backup is removed immediately. Your device data is unaffected.
Are prices in Australian dollars?
Yes. All prices shown are in AUD. The App Store will display your local equivalent at checkout.
